Bio.

Argentine musician, composer and multi-instrumentalist.

Emi Franji · Buenos Aires

Sensitivity, listening and a search for timbre.

Emi Franji is an Argentine musician and composer. His work moves between songwriting, improvisation and instrumental music, in dialogue with modern jazz, and his search for sound unfolds through guitar, piano and voice.

His artistic search centres on the balance between the spontaneous and the structured, bringing sensitivity, improvisation and listening to every performance.

He began his relationship with music at the age of four. He has shared the stage and the studio with artists such as Quique Sinesi, Lucy Patané, Fernando Silva, Jerónimo Verdún, Inbal Comedi, Juampi Di Leone, Sebastián Tozzola and Manuel Estrach, among others.

Since 2016 he has been part of the Guitar Craft community, taking part in courses led by Robert Fripp. He is a member of The Crimson Kings, a group championed by Robert Fripp, alongside Jeremy Stacey (drummer in King Crimson’s most recent line-up), Horacio Pozzo and Julián Franji.

On stage he performs solo and in a range of formats — trio, full band, guitar ensembles — and takes part in other artists’ projects.
